Purpose of Organization

Purpose of the facility is to improve foundries in Turkey and around the Balkan Countries 
with ecologically safe and energy saving technologies.

Area of Study and Activities

Bcact, to achieve this purpose, in cooperation with concerned faculties and organizations in Turkey and Balkan countries, 
Balkan Union of Metalurgists, Foundrymen's Association of Turkey and Chamber of Metallurgical Engineers of Turkey;
 

    a) Developes new, environmentally safe, advanced technologies that increase quality, save energy and enable competition 
        in outside markets, and presents casting industry.      

    b) Does research & develope, provides training to foundries.

    c) Gives cunsultancy to foundries to help them reach EU Standards in advanced technologies, management of energy 
        and environmental protection. 

    d) Provides information to foundrymen in Turkey and around the Balkans about inside and outside markets, 
        new production methods and materials.

    e) Provides quality control, designing and thremal analysis services esspecially to minor and medium sized foundries.

    f)  Publishes documents and books on casting, provides information and library service.
